Its October.....which means this is our first ever Photo
Edition...
We had a heap of pics sent to us this last month because we
have some awesome prizes. This month we are giving away a set
of Fiziks Frames + a couple of brand new Kizer T-shirts.
I have kept all the mumbo jumbo bull shit to a minimum so you
could all just sit back and enjoy the pic contributions. However
you will find snippets of information around the place...so
you do need to read on.
Big news for this edition is that with the help of Rebel Distribution
in the U.S., this little old newsletter will now be circulating
to over 10,000 skaters in America, plus the countless Aussies
that get it.
Hope you enjoy this edition of Any Given Sunday, and of course
a big thankyou to all the contributors... |

Well
the only fresh news from them that really matters to us, is
that there is finally a date and location set for the NSW
X-Trials and the National Eliminator.
The venue is Alive! SK8, home of this years nationals. The
park is located at 155 Smeaton Grange Rd Narellan, heaps of
parking and tonnes of food around the place. The NSW trials
will be held on Saturday 30th November and then the Eliminators
will be Sunday 1st December. Planet X are shipping in their
Vert ramp so you need to make plans to be there for the whole
weekend......camp in the car park.....sweet.
The trials in Melbourne were postponed due to weather problems
and will be re-scheduled...keep your eyes on either www.planetx.net.au

I was down in Melbourne this past weekend, visiting a few
shops and people, and managed to get myself to the Free-Style
comp that Tim Ward and the Melbourne Skate Crew boys put on.
I was actually planning on heading back home Sunday but Josh
Clarke hooked me on the phone and promised some big things....so
on that promise I went! Of course I first of all had to pick
up Sydney ex-pat Adam Diakowsky and his mad Russian mate from
St Kilda, which meant the nice Sunday morning traffic led us
to miss the first 2 spots. But all was good as the third spot
made up for it.
Josh went wild eventually taking out the comp and there was
heaps of variety including some kick ass car tows, up a nice
little lane way that was perfectly positioned for tricks a plenty.
Well done Tim on organising a great day, there were spot prizes
and a good turn up of onlookers......a big shout out to the
security guard at spot 3 who got out of his car, walked up to
watch Josh fly off the side of a car over the gap, lit up a
ciggy then turned his back and walked away. Now that's the type
of security we like! Check out www.melbourneskatecrew.com <http://www.melbourneskatecrew.com>
That's all I have to say on anything this month, the rest is
up to you to enjoy. Check out these pics and decide who you
think should win. Tom Hyser from Fiziks will be picking the
winner and we will email out to all of you who the winner is
as soon as he makes his decision. So basically sit back and
enjoy the latest from around Australia and thank you to all
of the contributors. |

From 18Zero - Our aim is to make Any Given Sunday
a powerful information source for skaters around the world
and in particular Australia. We want to form links where the
chain is broken, we want to represent the skaters and ensure
the information you receive about products, comps etc is always
fresh and accurate. We will put in the hard yards to get you
prizes and special deals so that you will always have a chance
to win something, no matter what your age or ability is. We
will continue to fight beauracracies that tear the sport apart.
We will always support comps and competition organisers no
matter whether it is a 'real street' comp or a local park
comp, we will offer our assistance to any one in the industry
who is interested in growing the sport of inline skating and
will ensure that the best interest of the skaters, is front
of mind of anyone who enters this domain. - That is our promise!
Remember... Skate hard, play fair >>
Peace. >> I'll be watching...
