ROCES Plywood Playground in Port Adelaide, SA
CLOSED

Port Adelaide used to have an awesome indoor skatepark called the ROCES Plywood Playground.
The ROCES Plywood Playground featured in numerous rollerblading videos and was definitely one of the best indoor skateparks in Australia.
The park was run by a friendly South Australian rollerblader called Andrew Rudd and was sponsored by ROCES.
The sad thing about the closure of this park (in early 2002) is that Andrew Rudd originally put time and effort into trying to get the support of local government to build a skatepark for the area before eventually giving up and deciding to go ahead and build one himself. Of course now (years later) the area has a number of free outdoor parks built by ... guess who .... local governments.
