November 2001

SA news.... ROLLERBLADING.COM.AU webmaster James O'Connor headed to SA on Monday the 26th of November for 4 days of skating and to check out the Adelaide rollerblading scene. Thanks goes out to Daklinic (Jeff, Shep & Cale), Tammy Farmer, Solid MC, Darren Curtis, Jen Makris & Andrew Rudd from the ROCES Plywood Playground.

Special thanks also goes out to HOH Still Natural Spring Water for sending us the Water Tower cooler for our rollerblading office here in North Sydney!

Congratulations to Luke Savill who won the 1st Inline Anarchy competition which was held on 24November2001. Next place was taken by Ben Granero, followed by Kade Anderson.

The 10 year anniversary Sydney Bladers skate was held on Wednesday, November 14 attracting around 100 bladers making it one of Sydney's biggest cityskates ever. See the Sydney Bladers website for more details...including reports.

Don't forget to keep the image size less than 400k and mention who the skater is, the trick and who the photographer is. Attention WA skaters: New indoor park just opened in Malaga WA. 800sqm skating area ramps fun boxes ledges etc. A mini-half pipe is on the drawing board at this stage. There is plenty of seating area. It is air conditioned and has games plus a canteen. Check it out at www.grindpark.com.au

Congratulations to Brad Watson and Kent Hodgson who have qualified for the 2001 Planet X Summer Xtreme Games Street Eliminators after placing first and second respect ively at the Sprite Planet X Trials held at Geelong on the 24th of June2001. That means that Brad has qualified for both the Street & Vert Eliminators!

Congratulations to Paul McGreal and Luke Savill who have qualified for the 2001 Planet X Summer Xtreme Games Street Eliminators after placing first and second respectively at the Sprite Planet X Trials held at Fairy Meadow - Wollongong, NSW on 16June2001. Tom Sampson, Broc Midgley and Vin Nguyen also made the finals of the competition which attracted 16 competitors from the South Coast to Sydney. COVERAGE

World Teams Challenge: Ian Brown wins World Teams Challenge! The doubles has been taken out by Blake Dennis and Ian Brown. The Australian team comprised Blake Dennis, Josh Clarke, Ian Brown, Matt Salerno, Sam Fogarty and Shane Yost. The Aussies came 2nd after Europe! An excellent result!
