CJ Wellsmore in the SEBA Street Summer Tour Episode #1: FISE World Montpellier

Seba Summer Tour Fise

[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][mk_image src=”http://www.rollerblading.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/fiseseba.jpg” image_width=”800″ image_height=”450″ crop=”true” lightbox=”false” frame_style=”simple” target=”_self” caption_location=”inside-image” align=”left” margin_bottom=”25″][vc_column_text disable_pattern=”true” align=”left” margin_bottom=”0″]The SEBA Street team recently converged on Montpellier in France for the annual FISE World extravaganza.

Anthony Finocchiaro was there to capture CJ Wellsmore, Manon Derrien, Pierre Lelièvre, Antony Pottier and Pascal Morasse-Raymond’s adventures at the first stop of the SEBA Street Summer Tour at France’s biggest action sports event.

Here is what Pascal had to say:

“For a Inline skaters, there’s isn’t much that can beat touring a country with some of the best skaters in the world, skating some of the best parks of Europe. “Luckily, I have the great opportunity to do just that. I landed in Paris on the 13th of may and met with CJ Wellsmore and Anthony Finocchiaro. A few minutes later we were heading for a 7 hours trip to Montpellier to participate in the FISE.

“Montpellier is a very charming city and during the FISE it’s also host of one of the biggest party I’ve seen in my life. The second day we we’re joined by Manon Derrien, Pierre Lelièvre and Antony Pottier to complete the lineup for the tour. I had the chance to be commenting on the live stream for all the rollerblading events during the festivities. It’s a great experience to be part of such a massive event.

“CJ Wellsmore managed to get 4th place during the park contest followed by Pottier in 5th. After those 4 days of intense partying and skating, we took a rest at Hadrien Bastouil’s place on the last night and headed to Marseille the next morning.”

Stay tuned for Episode #2!

Tom Scofield is on fire in his new Melbourne Street Edit 2015 by Thomas Dalbis

Tom Scofield

[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_video link=”https://vimeo.com/133134529″][vc_column_text disable_pattern=”true” align=”left” margin_bottom=”0″]New Zealand import Tom Scofield continues to go from strength-to-strength in 2015, with another killer edit dropping this week courtesy of Kal Crew’s Thomas Dalbis.

Tom, or “Scowie” as he has become known since moving across the ditch, has only been in Australia less than 12 months, but is already become one of the Australian rolling scene’s most talented and respected skaters, with a down-to-earth attitude to match.

He is dangerous in competitions, placing second in the Australian Rolling Open in 2014 (only days after he arrived in Australia), alongside second in last year’s Vic Titles and Best Trick at the Queensland Titles 2015.

This latest edit, however, is all about the street, with a smooth and technical style punctuated by some serious hammers. Based on this edit alone, it’s not hard to see why he’s earned his official place on the Razors Australia team.

Veteran skater Paul Wicke (36) celebrates 10 years of rollerblading in Canberra

Paul Wicke Canberra

[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_video link=”https://vimeo.com/132626067″][vc_column_text disable_pattern=”true” align=”left” margin_bottom=”0″]Canberra veteran Paul Wicke has just dropped an amazing new edit featuring 10 years of skating in Australia’s capital city.

Unfortunately it’s not all reason to celebrate, with the edit prompted by a severe injury to 36-year-old’s knee a few months back, meaning he may never be able to skate again.

Here is what Paul had to say: “After severely injuring my knee a few months back and being uncertain if I could/would skate again, I decided to put together some clips from my time skating in Canberra since moving here 10 years ago. Hopefully ill be able to add to it again in the future as the mind is still willing. I just have to wait for the body to catch back up again.”

Featuring hammer after hammer from the days of baggy jeans right through to now, we definitely hope this isn’t the last the world of rollerblading has seen from Paul Wicke.

Good luck with your recovery Paul, we hope to see you on the roll again!
